How to Create an Inbox?

In this article, we'll guide you through creating your very first inbox on Hoory.

Let's get started.

There are two ways you can create an inbox on Hoory.

The first way is to click the + New Inbox from the Conversations tab, which is open by default the minute you enter the dashboard.

The second option is to navigate to the Settings tab from the left sidebar. It's the very last one with a gear icon.

Then, click Inboxes from the expanded list of tabs. The Add Inbox button will appear right in front of you to click.

Regardless of your route, both actions will open up the 4-step flow of the inbox creation process.

The first step is choosing a channel for your inbox.

There are nine channels that Hoory supports - website widget, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, WhatsApp, SMS, email, Telegram, and Line. You can also create a custom inbox using the API channel.

After choosing a channel, the next step is authenticating your account and creating the actual inbox.

Here you have to fill in all the fields to create an inbox.

The required fields are as follows:

  • Website name

  • Website domain

  • Widget color

  • Welcome heading

  • Welcome tagline

  • Enabling or disabling channel greeting functionality, i.e., choosing whether or not to automatically send a greeting message to customers when they first send a message.

Once all the fields are filled in, the "Create Inbox" button will activate to click.

The third step is to add agents from the dropdown menu and click the "Add Agents" button.

That's it. Easy as that! You now have your first inbox in Hoory.
