Visibility Settings

Visibility settings are important for creating a personalized and user-friendly website experience while also ensuring that sensitive or private content is appropriately restricted. They allow you to control website content and appearance based on customer location, session status, type of device, browser, language preference, etc.

Types of Visibility Settings

The following visibility types are available:

  • Web Browsers - allows you to choose web browsers that have access to the corresponding widget on the website.

  • Devices - allows you to choose users’ devices that have access to the corresponding widget on the website.

  • Languages - allows you to choose the language versions of a website in which the widget is visible to users. These settings are particularly relevant for multilingual websites that target a diverse audience with different language preferences.

  • Operating System - allows you to choose the operating systems that have access to the corresponding widget on the website.

  • Session Visibility - allows you to choose which customers the widget is visible to according to their session: registered or guest.

  • User Agent - allows you to indicate user agents that do not have access to the corresponding widget on the website.

  • Locations - allows you to choose the countries or IPs where the widget is visible/invisible to the customers.

Configuring Visibility Settings

To configure visibility settings:

  1. Go to the widget Settings tab on the Property Panel.

  2. Enable/disable General Visibility to display/hide the corresponding widget from the customers.

  3. Select the corresponding web browser, language, operating system, and session to display the widget.

  4. Indicate the user agent string to hide the widget.

  5. Click Include Only/Exclude From and select the countries where the corresponding widget is visible/hidden.

  6. Enter the customer’s IP address to hide the widget from the user.
