Event types are groups of events sharing common features or attributes that distinguish them from other events. They enable you to offer a range of choices to customers. Each event of a certain type may have distinct attributes to cater to different customer preferences.
Here, you can:
- create a new event type;
- search for the corresponding event type;
- sort the event types by alphabetical order, creation status, and types.
Creating an Event Type
To create an event type:
- Click + New Event Type.
- Indicate the event type name.
- Select the icon from the respective drop-down list.
- Click Save.
Tip: To edit, duplicate, or delete the event types, click the Dotted Menu, and opt for the appropriate option.
Assigning a New Field Group
You can create a new field group and assign it to the event type. The field group is a collection of related attributes that describe the event. Before creating a field group, make sure to create fields with options, if necessary (see Product Fields).
To create a new field group:
- Click New Field.
- Indicate the group name in the popup that opens.
- Select the corresponding fields.
- Click Save.
Once the field group is created, it is automatically generated in the new event form (see Event List).
Tip: To edit or delete groups, click the Dotted Menu, and opt for the appropriate option.
