Product Measurements

Measurements refer to different dimensions and sizes of products sold in your online store, including physical dimensions (length, width, height), weight, capacity, and other size-related attributes. The measurements offer greater flexibility, allowing you to sell items in various stock-keeping units.

Adding Measurements to the Project

Adding measurements to your project maintains consistency and standardization across your product details. To add measurements:

  1. Go to Settings > Project Details from the Dashboard Left Panel.
  2. Scroll down to the Format/Timezone section.
  3. Select the corresponding measurement unit from the Weight Unit and Dimension Unit drop-down lists.
    Note: You can change measurements based on your project requirements.

4. Click + Measurements to open the measurement settings page, where you can add, view, search, and manage both default and custom measurement types.

The details in the measurement list include:

  • ID: Unique identifier for the measurement unit.
  • Name: the name displayed within the dashboard.
  • Abbreviation: The abbreviation displayed to customers.
  • Fractional: An indicator of whether the unit is fractional or not.
  • Unit System: Specifies whether the unit is metric, imperial, or custom.

5. Click +Add to create a new measurement unit if the default options are insufficient.

6. Enter the corresponding information in the popup that opens:

  • Enter the name of the measurement as it appears in the dashboard.
  • Provide the abbreviation for the measurement unit, which is visible to customers.
  • Indicate the unit system for the measurement:
    • Metric
    • Imperial
    • Custom
  • Enable/ disable the Fractional Unit toggle.
    • Is Fractional: Used for the precise dimensions, such as 3.5 pounds.
    • Is Not Fractional: Used for whole numbers only, such as 10 items or 3 pieces.
  • Save: Click save to add the new measurement unit to your project.

Tip: If your website is available in more than one language, select the corresponding language from the language drop-down list (see Settings > Languages) and enter measurement-related information in the selected language.

Tip: To edit or delete the newly created measurement, click the Dotted Menu on the right side of the corresponding measurement and select Edit or Delete.

You cannot delete the predefined measurement types. ties.

After setting the measurement, you can apply it to configure your physical products (see Physical Product).

Displaying Measurement Units

You can display measurement units using the Quantity widget and Measurement Unit Picker widget, which you can modify according to your preferences. The Quantity widget enables your customers to select the desired product quantity before adding it to the cart, while the Measurement Unit Picker widget allows customers to select the corresponding measurement unit from the list.
