We are sure you'll find the Articles App pretty helpful when running a personal blog or including some series of how-tos to your website about stuff related to your business.
If you want to add articles right to your page, you can use our Articles Element to do so! Simply drag and drop it from the Elements section to your crafting area.
Let's publish one of the Drafts right away.\
!Note: If you already have published articles, they'll be instantly added to your page.
Settings
Click the element area to check the Article ‘Settings’. You'll find loads of options available here that can be used to make the Article fit the page's overall Layout perfectly.
Check the Categories and the Number of Articles you want to be previewed on your page as well as their Ordering.
Play with the switchers in General Settings to give the Articles the desired look and feel! \ \ You can customize the Article Buttons from here as well.
And finally, you can decide whether you want to go with a Standard or Masonry Layout from the Layout Section.\
Styling
What about customizing the Article Styling like this?\
Alignment - You may not like how your articles are positioned on the page; never mind. All you need to do is click on the ‘Alignment’ icon to fix this.
Desktop, Mobile only, or everywhere by default. Simply hit Visibility Settings and choose the desired option from the dropdown menu to control the elements' Visibility on your page.
Next comes Location visibility. Include or exclude specific cities or countries or set the appropriate Custom IP.
Mind the Session visibility as well. The latter allows making certain elements visible only to the logged-in users of your website. This works well with User Account element and can come in handy if you want to hide content from users until they sign up to your website.
Schedule Visibility - This tool will enable you to set a specific time for the Article element to be visible on your website. Once you have enabled the switch, a setting board will open up that will allow you to choose the visibility type and frequency.
You can either show or hide the element from your website for a certain period. After choosing the frequency, you can then specify the start and end date&time for the article element to be visible on the website.
Article Categories
You'll find the Article categories Element right next to the Article element in the Elements section, choosing the 'Article Categories' instead. It can be pretty helpful for having all your Articles grouped nicely and neatly.
Trash Icon - If for some reason you want to remove the articles, click the ‘Trash’ button and hit ‘Delete’ to confirm your action.
Related Articles
Featured articles highlight blog posts you want to bring to your visitor's attention. In other words, you display them on the page that your site visitors are currently on.
You can display it by:
Enabling the Featured button on Editor for each Article respectively.
Setting Tags for your Related Articles.
Moving to a Single Article page and adding Related Articles element from your Left Panel to your crafting area.
All's left to be done is picking the one you want to see on your page, hitting 'Publish' and voila.
!Note: You will need to enable the "featured" switch for each article, that you have.
As a result
Your site visitors will stay on your Page much longer than they usually do.
It will motivate your site visitors to surf your Blog.
Showcase your assortment.
It will attract attention to recent news: this works best if you have many repeat readers.
